Almost immediately one can individuate the confines, in the case of Alessandra Placucci, of a candid painting which however can not be confused with ingenuity. She, instead, demonstrates lucid tension and travels with fantasy in the open spaces of natural vision, fixing illusions of popular life, of simple things and systems. Alessandra thrusts her  imagination into improbable real life.

….. hers is a world among strawberry trees, colored balloons that fly freely in the sky, magic landscapes covered with snow and many children, little happy children, that grab onto necklaces of hot peppers or fly up with montgolfiers. The observer has the impression of looking out of a secret window on a country of marvels, an illusion but yet true, to look at a panorama as seen by the eyes of these kids that are also the protagonists of the canvas. One does not stop at the live splendid colors but travels on to these little untidy figures that slide on the rainbow or navigate in the skies with their umbrellas pushed by the wind. The competence of Alessandra is studied and at the same time instinctive. Her hand is wise and patron of the brush….

The careful and profound research of color even more than the fantastic  iconografic view, is surely one of the fondamental traits of the paintings of Alessandra Placucci. Tonality which is in continual, rapid, efficient dialogue by means of dissolving-transparenting chromatic effects that at the same time give full testimony to the fantastic capacity of the artist to knowingly go beyond, with sureness and ability, the limits of a casual glance on things and landscapes transforming them into a more intimate and renewed essence

…It is the art of Alessandra Placucci, spontaneous, a song of joyness free of obstacles and conditioning that makes it authentic poetry. Panoramic landscapes covered with green and flowers, houses, streets under a candid mantle of new fallen snow, crystal blue skies grooved by wandering clouds, turquoise rivers are fairy tale images which induct the observer’s eye to transport him in a dream world of peace. In the Placucci’s oil paintings the chromatic effect of the intense and vibrating colors give the oil both tone and life…
